They cover your licence to use the app, how purchases work, and the honest limits of what an AI-powered receipt reader can promise. Manee is a helper, not a source of financial truth. Manee uses AI to read receipts. That is convenient, but it is **not perfect** — always review the figures. Manee is not accounting, tax, or financial advice, and is not a substitute for your official records. ## 01Agreement to these terms These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and **Zaw Lin Tun**, an individual (the “Provider”, “we”, “us”). By downloading, installing or using Manee (the “App”) or the manee.app website, you agree to these Terms and to our [Privacy Policy](https://manee.app/privacy/). If you do not agree, please do not use Manee. ## 02Who may use Manee You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your country. If you are a minor, you may use Manee only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf. ## 03Your licence to use the App We grant you a personal, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use Manee on devices you own or control, for your own personal or internal business expense-tracking, in line with these Terms and the rules of the app store you downloaded it from. The App is **licensed, not sold**, and we and our licensors retain all rights not expressly granted. ## 04Acceptable use You agree that you will not: - reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract the source code or the AI models, except to the limited extent the law expressly permits; - copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, sublicense, or create derivative works of the App; - use Manee for anything unlawful, or to infringe the rights of others; - interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to bypass the App's security or any usage limits; or - remove or obscure any proprietary notices. ## 05Your data stays yours Manee processes your receipts and financial data locally on your device. You keep all rights to your data; we claim no ownership over it, and we do not receive it. If you enable the optional Pro cloud sync, your data is stored in your own iCloud or Google Drive account under Apple's or Google's terms — still without passing through us. You are responsible for your data and for keeping your own backups — see the [Privacy Policy](https://manee.app/privacy/) for how on-device data, device backups and cloud sync work. ## 06Accuracy — and what Manee is not Manee uses automated OCR and AI to read receipts and bank slips. Accuracy depends on image quality, language, and the format of each receipt, and extracted values — merchant, amount, date, category — **may contain errors**. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying everything Manee records. Manee is a personal convenience tool. It is **not accounting, tax, financial, investment, or legal advice**, and it is not a substitute for professional advice or for official financial records. Do not rely on it alone for tax filing, accounting, audits, or legal compliance. ## 07Purchases, subscriptions and the Lifetime plan Manee is free to download and offers optional in-app purchases. Prices and what each purchase includes are shown in the App and on the App Store or Google Play before you buy. All payments are charged to your app-store account and are processed by Apple or Google — not by us. - **30-day Pro trial:** every new installation includes 30 days of full Pro features, starting when you first open the App. It requires no account, no payment method and no purchase, it is tracked on your device only, and it does not convert into a paid plan — when the 30 days end, nothing is charged and the App simply continues on the free tier. - **Subscription:** the subscription renews automatically at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings. - **Lifetime:** the Lifetime plan is a one-time purchase for the device account it is bought on; it does not auto-renew. - **Refunds** are handled by Apple and Google under their policies. Because we do not process payments, we generally cannot issue refunds directly; please request them through [Apple](https://support.apple.com/billing) or [Google Play](https://support.google.com/googleplay). - **Changes:** we may add, change, or discontinue features and pricing over time. Some features may require a purchase, and free-trial or promotional terms are shown at the point of sale. ## 08Availability, updates and the solo-developer reality Manee is built and maintained by one developer. We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue the App or any feature at any time, and we may release updates you need to install to keep using it. We aim to give reasonable notice of significant changes, but we are not obligated to keep the App or any feature available indefinitely. Support is provided on a reasonable-effort basis through the [support page](https://manee.app/support/). ## 09Intellectual property Manee — including its name, logo, design, software, and AI models — is owned by the Provider and its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you no right to use our name or trademarks. ## 10Third-party services and app stores Your use of Manee is also subject to the terms of the app store you use (Apple's App Store or Google Play) and of any third-party services referenced in the [Privacy Policy](https://manee.app/privacy/). The app stores are responsible for the storefront and payment; they are not responsible for the App's functionality. ## 11Disclaimer of warranties To the maximum extent permitted by law, Manee is provided **“as is” and “as available”**, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied — including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that receipt data extraction will be accurate or complete. ## 12Limitation of liability To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Provider will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, savings or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) Manee — including any reliance on figures Manee extracted. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to Manee will not exceed the amount you paid us (through the app stores) for Manee in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50, whichever is greater. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law that applies to you — including your mandatory rights as a consumer, and liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. ## 13Indemnity To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold the Provider harmless from claims, losses and reasonable costs arising out of your misuse of Manee or your breach of these Terms. ## 14Termination You may stop using Manee and uninstall it at any time. We may suspend or end your licence if you materially breach these Terms. When the licence ends, you must stop using the App; you can delete it, and any data on your device remains under your control until you remove it. Sections that by their nature should survive — such as intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law — continue after termination. ## 15Governing law and disputes These Terms are governed by the laws of Thailand, and the courts of Thailand have jurisdiction over any dispute — without depriving you of any mandatory consumer-protection rights, or the right to bring proceedings, in your country of residence where the law so provides. ## 16Changes to these terms We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Effective” date above shows the current version, and your continued use of Manee after an update means you accept the revised Terms. ## 17Apple App Store — additional terms If you downloaded Manee from the Apple App Store, the following also applies and, where it conflicts, prevails over the rest of these Terms: - These Terms are between you and the Provider only, **not with Apple**. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. - Your licence to use the App is limited to use on Apple-branded products that you own or control, and as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services / App Store Terms of Service. - Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the App. - If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. - Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the App, including product-liability, legal or regulatory compliance, or consumer-protection claims. - Apple is not responsible for investigating or resolving any third-party claim that the App infringes intellectual-property rights. - You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo (or designated “terrorist-supporting”) and are not on any U.S. Government prohibited-parties list. - Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. - Questions, complaints and support requests about the App should be directed to us at [privacy@manee.app](mailto:privacy@manee.app). ## 18Contact Provider: **Zaw Lin Tun**, an individual.
